Stoney Noell founded Epic Life Creative over 10 years ago. He attended college for a while before moving to Nashville where he began an internship with his church. He is a self-taught graphic and web designer who got his start by volunteering his design skills for churches, ministries. Fueled by his mission to “love, serve and build,” he began his own design business. Since then, his firm has grown from just himself to a large team that manages dozens of clients. Stoney says, “print or web, if it’s visual, we do it.”
Over the past 10 years the business has expanded entirely through word of mouth and referrals. The Epic Life Creative website is the first stop for all potential clients. Many of those first impressions turn into lasting relationships. What’s most impressive is that the Epic Life relationship and quality of work means they are able to keep most of their clients for years.
While they have offices in Downtown Franklin, he and his team work remotely across Nashville. Stoney finds that creatives harness their best work when they are working from somewhere they love. One of his favorite locations is a local coffee shop. And we’re jealous!
Stoney found Pure Chat after visiting another website and using it to chat live with the operators “behind” the website. His first experience was positive, so he signed up for the live chat software. As a designer, he really liked how Pure Chat appeared in the bottom-left corner of the website. “I like the subtle way it sits at the bottom of the page and the ease of starting a conversation,” he shared.
Most of the questions they receive through live chat are about the services provided by Epic Life Creative. In the last few months, Stoney has signed several new clients that started with Pure Chat conversations. Even though he’s at his computer for the most part every day, Stoney prefers to use the Pure Chat mobile app to chat live with website visitors. In particular, he loves the push notifications that alert them to a new chat session.
The vision for Epic Life Creative is to serve church and ministry needs through graphic and web design and seek new ways to increase their ability to volunteer locally. His mission is to help clients who need beautiful websites, sermon graphics, branding and other creative services, but can’t afford the typical costs for graphic and web design. Using Pure Chat to bring on new clients and forge lasting relationships is helping Stoney achieve both his business objects and personal goals.
